What is Energy Healing?
Each human being consists of an energetic field that is both complex and subtle. It is composed of many systems (chakras, meridians, nadis, auric bodies) that vibrate at different rates with each of them having various functions. This energetic field determines the state of the person on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. When an issue (e.g. emotional or physical trauma) arises, these systems will be affected and this will manifest as a distortion or energetic block causing the energy flow to shift out of balance. If the issue is left unresolved and these systems remain impaired, these negative memories will imprint themselves at a cellular level. Erroneous information will be sent to the energetic field, thus affecting our energy or ‘lifeforce’. The imbalance will eventually be felt on one or more levels; for instance as a physical or psychological lack of well being, disease, fears, negative patterns, unwanted behaviours, etc. At least one energy blockage is at the origin of every single lack of well being or disease.
These blockages can be ours but they can also be carried from past lives or inherited from generations before us (hence diseases, inappropriate automatic responses to certain situations, unwanted behaviours or negative patterns that affect several members from a same family).
The energetic healing process offers a natural way of restoring balance and harmony to these energy systems by providing support to the body’s natural ability to self-heal and regenerate to new levels of health and wellness.
The energetic process aims at identifying the sources of the successive deteriorations that have led to the loss of one’s sense of well being or to an illness. A sense of not feeling well or an illness is only the tip of the iceberg. Treating the symptoms is important, however ignoring the root cause may result in a recurrence or a shifting of the symptoms.
Information regarding the source of the blockage is passed on to the patient where appropriate. However, the root cause does not necessarily need to be verbalised for it to be removed. In some situations, it is actually counterproductive for the patient to know this information. In other instances, no information is available.
During the process, the client will be assisted with advice and spiritual guidance to help overcome obstacles that restrict one's evolution and well being.
Clients come for a variety of reasons, but these can grossly be split between health and personal growth. The following list is not exhaustive:
- A wide range of illnesses, for example: anxiety, agoraphobia, breathing disorders, cancer, chronic fatigue, depression, digestive problems, headaches and migraines, hormonal imbalance, immune disorders, infertility, insomnia, nervous disorders, stress related conditions
- General or specific lack of well being although no diagnostic has been made
- Emotional imbalance
- A need for help clarifying life purpose (feeling that ‘there is more to life’, or a feeling of being stuck), and reconnecting with the self
- A desire to (re)gain a sense of joy and peace
- A longing to heal from trauma, abuse or a period of prolonged stress
- Release long term tensions
- A desire for spiritual growth
- A desire to unblock creativity
- A time of significant challenge, such as divorce or redundancy, has been reached and there is a need for support and/or guidance
- A desire to go deeper than the limits of traditional psychological therapy, feeling that talking about issues isn't enough or helpful
- A feeling that physical symptoms would benefit from a complementary or holistic approach (e.g. after surgery, whilst undergoing a medical treatment, etc..)
The Consultation
The therapy is non-invasive and painless. Clients are fully dressed during the treatment.
A first consultation initially aims at getting an overall picture of the client’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. The causes that have led to one’s troubles begin to be detected. These findings are thoroughly explained to the client and give the directives to the healing which then ensues.
Just like every individual, every session is unique and is dictated by the healing process which has its own intelligence. Although the client may not feel any sensation, changes always occur on a deep level.
A course of natural remedies may be recommended to complement the treatment. To further aid the healing process, other forms of therapy may be suggested.
A first consultation lasts approximately two hours and subsequent ones about one hour and a half. Several treatments are usually recommended although the desired result has sometimes occurred after one or two sessions. However, experience has shown that a series of sessions are most beneficial to work through the many layers of a client’s issues. Continual treatments enable us to delve deeper into them.
